Army College of Dental Science

The College had started in leased accommodation in Oct 2001 at Mercury Lines, Trimulgherry. In May 2003 the college moved to its permanent campus at ACDS Nagar on Chennapur – CRPF Road, Secunderabad-87.

| The
College has following Facilities: -
 Main college & Hospital Block: Main college & Hospital building accommodates administrative offices. Library, all the pre - clinical and clinical departments, laboratories and five lecture halls.
Hostels: Separate blocks of Boys & Girls hostel have been constructed. Each hostel has been provided with kitchen, dining facilities and recreation facilities
Quarters: Separate block has been constructed to accommodate professors, Assistant professors, Technical, Nursing and auxiliary staff.
Guest House: One separate block consisting of 10 rooms have been constructed.
Principal’s Bungalow: Spacious, Independent bungalow is constructed within the campus for the principal
Multipurpose Hall: Multipurpose hall with seating capacity of 500 and with all infrastructure for cultural and educative programmes is available. |
| DENTAL
EQUIPMENT: |
Modern equipment has been acquired. Dental chairs with units, laboratory equipment, sterilization units, chrome cobalt-casting equipment, orthopantamograph unit, and four dental X- Ray machines and other equipment as required by DCI has been installed. Two high tech phantom head laboratories have been established for pre- clinical conservative and crown and bridge work.
Independent fully equipped laboratories for physiology, Bio-chemistry, Micro – biology, Pathology, Oral pathology, pharmacology, Histology, Dissection hall with tables are available. Cadaver room. Embalming facilities have been provided. Separate laboratories for Prosthodontics work, Dental Materials and oral pathology have been established.

| LABORATORY
INVESTIGATIONS: |
Central Laboratory for pathologic, microbial and biochemical investigations have been made available. Equipment and the chemicals are provided for routine investigations.

| LECTURE
HALLS: |
The lecture halls are provided with audiovisual aids like overhead projector. |
| MOBILE
DENTAL VAN: |
Mobile dental van fitted with two dental chairs, units X-Ray unit; automatic film processor, two generators and emergency kit carries out Dental Camps in rural and urban areas regularly.

| HEALTH
AND RECREATIONAL FACILITIES: |
Excellent sports and health club facilities are available to promote sports and health activities.
The ACDS Campus has provision of recreational facilities and amenities such as cafeteria, shopping complex, bank counter and STD facility.
MI Room facilities are available on the campus. Sick students are taken to Military Hospital Secunderabad whenever required.
College has a Gym, badminton, Basket Ball, Tennis, Volley Ball, Cricket Pitch, Table Tennis and an Athletic Ground. |
